This interactive course offers an introduction to human rights and outlines their development through history up to the present day. It teaches you about the world’s most important human rights documents and every article of The Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Start right now, because when you know your rights, they can never be taken away.

Through human rights education you can empower yourself and others to develop the skills and attitudes that promote equality, dignity and respect in your community, society and worldwide.

The primary aim of our National Human Rights Organization is to safeguard, promote, and advance human rights across all segments of society. We are dedicated to addressing violations, advocating for justice, and fostering a culture of respect and dignity for every individual. Through strategic initiatives and collaborative efforts, our aim is to create a society where human rights are universally recognized, protected, and upheld.

Our mission is to be a relentless advocate for the protection and promotion of human rights at the national level. We strive to expose and combat instances of discrimination, injustice, and abuse, working towards legal and policy reforms that ensure the fundamental rights of all citizens. Through awareness campaigns, education, and advocacy, we aim to build a society that values and upholds the principles of equality, freedom, and justice for every person.

Our vision is of a nation where every individual's human rights are respected, protected, and fulfilled. We envision a society that values diversity, embraces inclusivity, and upholds the inherent dignity of every person. Through our work, we aspire to contribute to the creation of a culture that not only recognizes human rights as a cornerstone of democracy but actively works towards their realization in every aspect of public and private life. We strive for a future where the principles of human rights serve as a guiding force in shaping laws, policies, and social norms.

What is Human Rights Education?

Human Rights Education entails providing individuals with the necessary knowledge, skills, and values to identify, assert, and safeguard their rights. Diverse Human Rights organizations and representatives have articulated distinct perspectives on human rights education. Presented below are some of the most notable definitions in the field.

“Education, training and information aimed at building a universal culture of human rights. A comprehensive education in human rights not only provides knowledge about human rights and the mechanisms that protect them, but also imparts the skills needed to promote, defend and apply human rights in daily life. Human rights education fosters the attitudes and behavior’s needed to uphold human rights for all members of society.”  (United Nations World Program)

“Through human rights education you can empower yourself and others to develop the skills and attitudes that promote equality, dignity and respect in your community, society and worldwide.”  (Amnesty International)

“Human rights education means education, training, dissemination, information, practices and activities which aim, by equipping learners with knowledge, skills and understanding and moulding their attitudes and behaviour, to empower them to contribute to the building and defence of a universal culture of human rights in society, with a view to the promotion and protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms.” (Council of Europe)
